Course Information
Curriculum
The White Moon teachings passed on at this school are designed to be intensive, with daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly assignments. Students are able to proceed through the curriculum more slowly, however, if they desire. The course can be completed in a minimum of 13 months, however, most students find two years is a comfortable pace. The coursework itself is eclectic and Goddess-centered, created in 1999 by Luna Blanca, the founder of the Order of the White Moon. Women of all faiths who are wanting to incorporate the Goddess into their existing or evolving spirituality are welcome.
The curriculum is presented in three levels, with a final project assigned at the end of each level, focusing on a particular Goddess.
Level I (minimum 4 months) focuses on Goddess studies, creating sacred space, ritual and personal empowerment, centering on forming a daily practice for the student. Observation of the seasons, connecting with the Moon, and introductions to meditation, energy work and spell crafting are also covered. All students must begin their studies with Level 1, whether they are novices or already have experience with such topics.
Level II (minimum 4 months) intensifies the study of meditation and energy work, and introduces the practice of divination, focusing on the Motherpeace Tarot. A strong emphasis on chakras and self-healing is also included. Level II students are also asked to choose to follow either the Path of Prayer or the Path of Magick.
Level III (minimum 5 months) strongly emphasizes dream, astral and shamanic work, as well as introducing body-based lunar astrology. There are also three elective areas of study for students to select from the following options: gemstones, herbs, candle magick, dream work, healing, and tarot spells. For the last month of this level, students participate in a practical internship in either teaching, divination, healing or prayer.
Level IV ministry training is open to Level III graduates through the Order of the White Moon. Level IV graduates receive ordination, becoming High Priestesses of the Order of the White Moon, able to pass on the White Moon teachings to their own students if they so choose.
Students must satisfactorily complete all of the assignments in order to receive course certificates. Ceremonial cords and completion certificates are awarded at no extra cost to those completing each level.
Level I: Initiate, white cord
Level II: Adept, red cord
Level III: Priestess, black cord
Level IV (through the mother Order): High Priest, green cord
